متن کاملThermodynamic Calculation among Cerium, Oxygen, and Sulfur in Liquid Iron
Thermodynamic calculation has been applied to predict the inclusion formation in molten SS400 steel. When the Cerium addition in liquid iron is 70 ppm and the initial Oxygen and Sulphur are both 110 ppm, the formation of oxides containing Cerium would experience the transformation from Ce2O3 to CeO2 and also the formation of sulfides containing Cerium would experience the transformation from Ce...
متن کاملOxygen-iron interaction in liquid lead-bismuth eutectic alloy.
Iron released by steel corrosion was found to be a key impurity in reactions with dissolved oxygen in liquid lead-bismuth eutectic alloys. The iron-oxygen-magnetite equilibrium was characterized, allowing the quantification of phenomena that are important for long-term operation of lead-alloy based installations such as corrosion rate control and management of precipitates.
متن کاملLiquid-liquid equilibrium data prediction using large margin nearest neighbor
Guanidine hydrochloride has been widely used in the initial recovery steps of active protein from the inclusion bodies in aqueous two-phase system (ATPS). The knowledge of the guanidine hydrochloride effects on the liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) phase diagram behavior is still inadequate and no comprehensive theory exists for the prediction of the experimental trends. Therefore the effect the ...
متن کاملMagnetic Anisotropy in Silicon Iron
The first anisotropy constant for Fel-%Si, is determined by torque measurements, for x up to 10 atomic per cent, in the temperature range 21-300 OK. The values, as extrapolated to 0 OK, vary linearly with silicon content. Using the expressions obtained by Keffer and Oguchi it is shown that K1 at 0 OK should vary as { 1 (a + 2) x ) where a is the ratio of dipole contribution to the total value o...
